Nixon Peabody Fiduciary Services is part of Nixon Peabody LLP, one of the largest multipractice law firms in the United States. Through its 2003 merger with the law firm of Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, Nixon Peabody expanded its fiduciary services practice and acquired the strong trust management capabilities that Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar had long been providing to an established and loyal client base.
Since 1844, lawyers in the firm have served as trustees, executors, administrators, guardians, and conservators for thousands of clients. Under the name Hutchins & Wheeler, we established a Trust Consulting Group in 1986, drawing on almost 150 years of experience in providing fiduciary services. Comprised of highly skilled trust and tax professionals, this group offers trust consulting services to law firms, banks, family trust offices, and individual lawyers. We assist these clients in implementing in-house trust accounting systems, processes and procedures, converting existing data, personnel training, and establishing internal controls and procedures.
As an outgrowth of these consulting services, and in response to client requests, we established an outsourcing service in 1995. Today, Nixon Peabody Fiduciary Services is the trust operations backbone for many law firms and private trustee offices.
